I've been looking for the smaller latch for my aluminum fence, but couldn't find it. Finally came across this company and ordered it. Just got the latch and I'm very pleased! It's exactly what I wanted. It's about 5" in total length. That's the only criticism I might offer is for them put the size in their description. I wasn't sure it was what I wanted till I got it. But overall a great experience and if you're looking for the smaller latch this is it! Going to order another one for my other gate
